moment of inspiration

To me, it’s more than just a physical sense, but something that I feel inside - it is a connection between my senses and my spirit. Sometimes it is merely a swift brush as it passes, but other times, it reaches down deep and anchors in my soul. Sometimes I wish I had my camera with me, and other times, I’m glad I don’t.

I see moments of inspiration as little packages from heaven. The wonderful thing is that they’re sprinkled all throughout life - not reserved only for special occasions.

I receive inspiration from a wide variety of sources, but the most touching to me (and most often) I find in nature. From water droplets navigating the veins of a leaf to the color of the sky behind dusty yellow fields in the winter… even the way stone is cracked and layered in great slabs along the side of the highway. It’s there. My inspiration. It renews my soul, refreshes my creativity, and reminds me where we came from.

This week’s question:
What inspires your creativity?

Youa re such a talented photographer! I think I need to FIND my inspiration! Hey, thanks again for the gorgeous baby announcements! You asked if I liked the matte, and I LOVE it (I prefer matte on most things). I know you didn’t love the envelopes, but I sure did! Question for you: I was wondering how you would feel about me printing off some of your nature photos? I would love to take about 5 of them and frame them. I will pay you for them, since they are yours, but the way you have them arranged on your page would make a beautiful arrangement just like it on the wall. Since I don’t have anywhere near your talent, I could never duplicate how pretty they are. Let me know how you feel about that! :o) Keep blogging! I love it!!

My inspiration is the human spirit… not sure how to explain it except that I want to be and do and try everything that I see that I love. I can’t let things go… I have to do it. I have to try it. Digital scrapbooking…can’t just do it I have to learn how to design it myself. Web design… I gotta try it! Photography…saving up for a camera and a class. I might never be as good as the person who inspired me, there are much more talented people in the world, but it inspires me to try. And it’s in the trying that I feel like I’m really living.

I feel much the same way… there is just so much I want to learn, and I love learning how to do new things. I always tell everyone that I have more interests than I’ll ever be able to learn in my lifetime.. I guess I won’t ever be bored. :-)
