electronic tag

Okay, so I got caught in the tagging game - I’ll play along.

Four or more places I’ve lived:
Chandler, Arizona
Alpha, New Jersey
Diamond Valley, Utah
Louisville, Kentucky

Four or More Places I Have Been on Vacation:
Nauvoo, Illinois
Niagara Falls, Canada
Palmyra, New York
Seattle, Washington
Franklin, Tennessee

Four or More Jobs I’ve Had:
Model for the art department in college (BYU - NO nudes)
Clerk at a bead shop
Customer Service Rep for AT&T
Freelance graphic designer

Four or More Foods I Like:
Marzipan (hands-down winner)
Bean & cheese burritos
Blackberries, pears, peaches
Mushroom bisque if it’s made right
Chips and guacamole (especially from QDoba)
Vegetables I didn’t grow up eating, like artichoke, asparagus, broccoli, eggplant

Four or More Hobbies I Have:
sewing
photography (usually nature photography)
making things - lots of different kinds of things
learning how to make said things if I don’t already know how
looking at decorating books and magazines
looking at the stars and reading NASA’s website
gardening (I want to get back into that one)
learning about self-sufficiency and preparedness
learning about cooking and vegetarian dishes (not a vegetarian, but don’t eat much meat)
reading about herbs and natural healing
finding the beauty in simple things
(umm… I like to do too many things!)

Four or More Things People Don’t Know About Me:
I’m not big on busy freeway or downtown driving (ok, so it terrifies me)
I have a thing about packaging gifts nicely before I give them
I nibble on my fingernails
I’m often concerned about my weight, but haven’t ever really been bothered about my height (5′ 2.5″)
I’m slightly addicted to ribbon

I decided to add this one too: I don’t own a microwave (and I live just fine, thanks)

Four or More Things I Would Do If I Were A Billionaire:

Hire a driver? heheh
Pay off all our debts and our parents’ debts too
Do/establish something to help/encourage/mentor kids in their educational pursuits
Build an off-grid energy efficient home
Buy some land in Missouri
Think of some ingenious way to contribute to the arts
Save some money and give some away

I promise I didn't photoshop this

So how come in the “real world”, when you play tag, you only tag one person, but in blog tag, you are allowed to “tag”, say 3-5 people? Honestly, I don’t know who to tag because a lot of you have already been tagged, so if you haven’t been already, you’re “it”.

That was fun to get to know you a little better. I am amazed at all your hobbies how fun.

I loved getting to know more about you Amy. I think it is cute you love ribbon. How interesting. I also think it is clever that you would buy some land in Missouri. Do you guys have plans for that? I guess I don’t get the picture. You will have to help me out with that one.

Thanks - you are sweet. If you saw my ribbon collection, you’d probably agree that I might have a bit of a problem.

    Something I forgot to mention - I also don’t own a microwave.

As to your question about Missouri - a good place to start is in D&C.

I love all the things about you. My brother served his mission in Franklin, Tennessee. How did you like it?

Hands down, I think you should come back. It would be so fun to have you close by. I think you will find that there is always a place for you anywhere you go. It will not always be the same place as when you left, but who wants that anyway?

I love Franklin, TN. It’s a cozy little town, but still very nice. We didn’t do much but visit a few civil war places (they happened to have re-enacters there that day) and visit with our friends who live there.

Elise, I can’t tell you how much your friendship means to me. It doesn’t matter how long it’s been or what the circumstances are - you are always there and always accept me for who I am and we can always talk and have fun. And how do you always know the right thing to say? I really couldn’t ask for anything more in a friend.

I am a little homesick - not typical for me, really. I’m trying to figure out where we could live that would be close enough to visit - I would miss the trees. But, Rich is talking about a double-major now, which means even more schooling, plus probably an MFA after that. Ach du liebe! I fully support him - it’s just taking a long time.

I love that you don’t own a microwave. We didn’t have one while living in Silver Springs, and I never really noticed missing it. I guess most of the stuff that you would cook in a microwave is so unhealthy, and we just don’t cook unhealthy that much.

Hey Amy, I think I either forgot, or never knew you had a blog running. I knew you had a website, though. Anyway, glad to figure it out so I can comment occationally now.
That’s kinda cool you can say you’re a former model. I have to disagree with the love of marzipan. It was created as a means to survive, and I think if I were starving, I might eat it. Your hobbies are my hobbies, although I haven’t looked at the stars lately (used to do it all the time in AZ) and I don’t check out the NASA website. I have too many hobbies and things I want to do too. I makes it difficult to get anything done. I thought about getting rid of the microwave, but we heat leftovers up in it so often, I guess we’re keeping it. It’s too convinient.

I love your smiley face bean.
